Waterproof industrial RJ45 Ethernet panel mount connectors from Live Electronics

Manufactured by GT Contact, the new connectors are rated to IP68, provide fast data transfer Cat6 speeds and are available with a wide range of options. This makes them ideal for use in equipment designed for demanding industrial applications, from factory-floor automation and control, to chemical, offshore and marine equipment.

The new connectors are available with either thermoplastic (PA66) housings, which offer IP67 protection, or metal (nickel-plated copper alloy) housing, with IP68 protection. All the panel mount connectors are rear potted to maintain the integrity of the panel seal even when the connector is unmated; sealing caps are also available if required.

Gold plated contacts are used throughout, for optimum and consistent data transfer speeds, with EMI/FRI shielding being fitted as standard.

 

The new RJ45 connectors are available with a choice of options, for example being supplied as a coupler or with PCB-mount or pig-tail terminations. The connectors are designed for 20.75mm diameter or 20.75 x 19.2mm D-style panel cut-outs, with a choice of bayonet or screw connections.

Waterproof IP-rated USB-C connectors

New from Live Electronics is the latest range of rugged waterproof USB-C connectors.  Manufactured by GT Contact, the new connectors meet IP67 and IP68 specifications, are available with tough thermoplastic (IP67) or metal (IP68) housings, and in a choice of panel mount, cable mount or cable to cable (in-line) versions.   

The new USB-C connectors have been designed for use in a wide range of demanding industrial and process applications, from oil and gas, marine and transport, to power generation, industrial controls and robotics or automation systems. 

The new connectors incorporate screw or bayonet twist and lock couplings, for 16mm panel cut-outs.  Metal versions feature high quality nickel-plated zinc-alloy bodies, with gold-plated stainless-steel connector housings and gold-plated copper-alloy contacts for optimum signal integrity and long-term reliability. 

Panel mount versions can be supplied as DIP pin or be pre-wired with USB-C plug or socket terminations, while rear potting ensures that system electronics are fully protected, even when the USB-C connector is unmated or the optional sealing cap is removed.  Data transfer speeds are typically up to 10Gbps and operating temperatures are from -40°C to +85°C.

The GT Contact Snap-In Connector

Designed to offer environmental sealing up to IP67 within a robust housing, GT Contact’s Snap-in connectors do not disappoint.

Offered in 5A 2 or 3pin (IP67) and 2A 6pin (IP65) variations, you have the choice of cable to cable or cable to panel connectors which fit cutouts of 6.1mm diameter with an outer diameter of just 8.5mm.
