The Lorlin RA series is a versatile and robust rotary switch, designed specifically for seamless integration into printed circuit boards. This series offers a versatile selection of switching configurations, including 1-pole up to 12 positions, 2-pole up to 6 positions, 3-pole up to 4 positions, and 4-pole up to 3 positions, providing engineers with significant design flexibility within a standardised footprint. Built for longevity and precision, the RA series features a positive detent mechanism with indexing angles of 30, 60, or 90 degrees, ensuring a tactile and secure user interface. The contacts are constructed from high-quality materials, with options for silver-plated or gold-plated brass to accommodate different electrical load requirements and environmental conditions. With a contact rating of 150mA at 250V AC/DC or 1A at 24V DC, these switches can handle both signal level and moderate power switching tasks while maintaining low contact resistance over a mechanical life exceeding 10,000 cycles. Integration is further simplified by the inclusion of standard PCB terminals and a variety of spindle lengths and shapes, including D-flat and fluted options, to suit various knob styles and enclosure depths. The RA series also features a glass-filled nylon housing that provides excellent insulation resistance and thermal stability, operating efficiently within a temperature range of -20°C to +70°C. For applications requiring specific travel limits, the series includes an adjustable stop mechanism, allowing for customised rotation ranges without the need for specialised tooling.
