BCKS Series

The Lorlin BCKS Series is a highly specialised range of binary-coded rotary switches designed to provide precise digital output for complex circuit control. Manufactured in the UK, and based on the BCK but with IP67 environmental sealing these switches feature a 27.5mm diameter moulded body, offering a reliable interface for applications requiring hexadecimal or complementary binary coding. The series is engineered for seamless integration into digital systems, making it a preferred choice for industrial automation, communication equipment, and test instrumentation where accurate position encoding is essential. Engineered for longevity and versatility, the BCKS Series utilises a standard 22.5-degree indexing mechanism and supports up to 16 positions. The switches are rated for 150mA at 24V AC/DC and feature silver-plated brass contacts as standard, with options for gold-flashed or heavy gold plating to ensure signal integrity in low-level switching environments. The robust mechanical design is rated for over 10,000 cycles and operates across a wide temperature range from -30°C to +85°C, ensuring consistent performance in demanding conditions. The series provides extensive customisation options to suit diverse mechanical requirements, including both metric and imperial spindle sizes and various terminal configurations for PCB mounting.
