HRL Series

The Lorlin HRL Series is a high-performance range of keylock switches specifically engineered for environments where vibration resistance and security are paramount. Manufactured in the UK, these switches feature a specialised high-retention module that makes them an exceptional choice for portable equipment, vehicle applications, and industrial machinery. The series is designed to fit a compact 16mm panel mounting hole and occupies minimal space behind the panel, with a rear projection of less than 30mm, allowing for seamless integration into densely packed electronic assemblies. Equipped with a reliable 5-disc lock mechanism, the HRL Series offers significant security flexibility with options for up to 200 different key combinations or common keyed-to-pass configurations. The switches are available in single or double pole variants and support 2 or 3 positions with 60 or 90-degree indexing. To meet specific operational requirements, the series provides various key withdrawal options, including the ability to trap the key in specific positions or allow withdrawal at any point. The double-entry keys are designed for ease of use, allowing insertion into the lock in either orientation for faster operation in the field. The HRL Series is built for durability, featuring a robust zinc alloy lock housing and silver-plated brass contacts as standard. These switches are rated for 1A at 24V DC or 115V AC resistive load and are designed to operate reliably within a temperature range of -20ºC to +65ºC. For specialised requirements, the range can be customised with gold-flashed or gold-plated contacts for low-level signal switching, as well as UL-V0 rated glass-filled nylon mouldings for superior flame retardancy. With its combination of a small footprint and high mechanical retention, the HRL Series provides a dependable security interface for demanding mobile and industrial applications.
